Hammers to go down under this summer

West Ham will head off to Australia this summer for the EVA Air Queensland Champions Cup.

Australian Tourism Minister Kate Jones told local Australian press today that the EVA Air Queensland Champions Cup will feature matches between Premier League London sides Crystal Palace, West  Ham and local side Brisbane Roar.

According to the Australian website MyGC.Com.Au The games are set to be played in Brisbane and Townsville with Suncorp Stadium tipped to host the West Ham-Crystal Palace game on July 18.

They say West Ham will take on Brisbane Roar at CBUS Stadium on Wednesday, July 15 as part of a three-team tournament which will also include Crystal Palace. The  Hammers will also hold a training camp on the Gold Coast in the lead up to the clash it has been revealed.

The tournament may be dependant on the spread of the Coronavirus beyond the players make the 20,000-mile round trip down under.
