Here’s how Nuno can turn seven games in next twenty days to West Ham’s advantage

Well, West Ham, and indeed Championship football, is back with a bang tonight, and as somebody who writes blogs and makes videos on the subject, I have to say I’m absolutely delighted.

As far as I’m concerned, extending the international break from two to three weeks was an absolute stinker of an idea, and possibly killed a nice bit of momentum for Nuno’s boys, considering how well we’d finished our last game against Millwall. Fortunately, the wait is finally over, with Queens Park Rangers visiting the London Stadium tonight.

Everybody appears to have returned from international duty without any major knocks, and West Ham have got the added bonus of both Tomáš Souček and Edson Álvarez available for selection. With seven games coming up in 20 days, Nuno Espírito Santo is going to need that squad, particularly if we’re to make the most of our strong position in the Championship.

West Ham’s Squad Depth Could Make the Difference

It’s imperative Nuno rotates where possible because, given our quality and depth, the very squad depth now present in the Hammers’ ranks could give us a massive advantage over our competitors.

The next two games against QPR and Lincoln, whilst not crucial to promotion, would represent a significant statement of intent if six points can be claimed.

A decent run followed a stuttering start, but given relegation and a slow start to the transfer window, it’s understandable why the team didn’t look so clever at the beginning.

But there really are no excuses now.

West Ham’s squad is the envy of the Championship, and we have more than a few Premier League-quality players. As we’ve already seen, QPR will provide a difficult test tonight, but these are precisely the sort of games we should be looking to win.

Time to put our foot down now, and I for one can’t wait to get stuck into the football again.

“With seven games coming up in 20 days”. Where did this come from? According to the WHUFC website we have 4 league games between 9th and 29th Oct. What are the other 3 games that you are referring to?

Totally agree. Don’t forget that Magassa is also available, it’s literally like having three new additions to what already is the divisions best squad.
