Hooray – match action for the Irons!

|

The Hammers will have the chance to extend their lead at the top of Group B on Thursday night.

Despite the break in action following the Queen’s passing, Uefa have confirmed that the Irons game against Silkeborg will go ahead.

The match is included in the list of fixtures included on UEFA’s official website who posted a preview of the fixtures last night.

The Hammers played against FCSB in the Europa Conference League of course immediately after news broke of the Queens passing and won the game 3-1.

With the Premier League game against Newcastle called off tomorrow (Sun) and another Premier League fixtures  cancellation next weekend likely, it is good news for Irons fans and the squad that they will be able to keep up their match fitness ahead of an international break.

It will be interesting to see whether David Moyes sticks with the team that beat FCSB which would see the hugely  impressive  Flynn Downes receive a second Hammers outing.
