How the new Irons shareholding breaks down

by Hughie Southon

David Sullivan will remain the major shareholder under the new investment plan which has seen Czech billionaire Daniel Kretinsky join the Hammers board.

It’s a huge day in Hammers history and the majority of fans of course will be asking how much of the new money will be spent on reinforcing the squad.

With the shares having been diluted it means all shareholdings  have been watered down with the majority of the new cash going into the club in terms of squad building and debt clearance.

However, with 39 per cent – down 12 per cent from previously – Sullivan hold the largest number with Kretinsky second in line with his 27 per cent.

A source inside the London Stadium revealed to ClaretandHugh that following the deal the main shareholding will see Sullivan and the Czech investor with their shares and David Gold now third in line with 25 per cent – down 10 per cent.

Meanhwile Tripp Smith will hold his 8 per cent and the Terry Brown family the remaining 1 per cent.
