West Ham travel to Glasgow on Sunday for what promises to be our toughest pre-season test so far when they take on Rangers at Ibrox.
The Hammers’ 5-0 victory over Stevenage was a welcome confidence boost, with senior players and youngsters alike enjoying a productive afternoon. However, one suspects Rangers will provide a much sterner examination for Nuno Espírito Santo’s side as preparations for the Championship season continue.
It’s also a fixture that makes plenty of sense. Chief Executive Karim Virani and Recruitment Director Nils Koppen both have strong links with Rangers, making this a useful opportunity to test the squad against quality opposition.
