Hugill extends stay at QPR

|

Hammer Jordan Hugill has extended his loan with QPR until the end of the 2019/2020 Championship season.

Rangers have been paying 60 per cent of the striker’s £33,000 a week salary and will continue to do so beyond the end of the month.

His loan deal was due to end on 30th June but West Ham, QPR and Hugill have all agreed to extend it.

Hugill is contracted to West Ham until June 2022 having joined the Hammers for £9 million under David Moyes during his first spell at West Ham, this is Hugill’s second season-long loan spell after joining his home town club Middlesbrough last season.

Reports suggest that Rangers are unlikely to make the move permanent and there has been recent talk of a  potential swap plus cash deal for R’S midfielder Eberechi Eze.

The 27-year-old has notched 13 goals in 37 games this season but Rangers cannot afford the £10m asking price for a straight deal.
