Juventus snub Hammers flop

|

Felipe Anderson has taken to social media to announce that he will not be renewing his contract with Lazio, as he has officially signed with Palmeiras despite being linked to Juventus.

His current contract with Lazio is set to expire on June 30, and despite lengthy negotiations, no agreement has been reached.

Reports suggested that Lazio’s new coach, Igor Tudor, had been forced to make a decision rather than have Anderson remain until his contract expired.

Anderson cost West Ham a fortune in lost transfer fees

Hammers record signing for NOTHING. Former West Ham winger Felipe Anderson has joined Palmeiras

The former West Ham winger had been expected to join Juventus. However, it appears the Italian giants got cold feet over the transfer, which is completely understandable. Whilst Anderson is clearly a talented player, he can be incredibly inconsistent.

The Hammers spent £34 million on the Brazilian, who at the time was our record transfer. To say the move was a failure would be an understatement, with the Hammers losing almost £30 million on the deal.

Speaking on his social media account, Anderson said: “Out of respect for Lazio and the fans who have always supported me, I must confirm that I have not reached a renewal agreement with the club. I will be pursuing a new direction next season.”

“I have always demonstrated my professionalism and dedication to Lazio, and I assure you that I will continue to honour this jersey with full commitment until the last day of my contract.

“Thank you for everything!”

It’s strange how all our skilful players become failures under Moyes. Leave and go on to have successful careers elsewhere. Seems a common theme there mmmmm?
