Kouyate calls off trip after terror attack

|

kouyateCheikhou Kouyate  postponed a trip to Brussels last week after a plea from his friends in the Belgian capital.

The brilliant midfielder – who calls Briussells his home  spent eight years there before he moved to West Ham in June last year for £5.25million.

But the terrorist attacks in Paris left him alarmed, horrified and shocked along with the  lock-down in Brussels that followed.

He explained: “It is my home from home. I have lots of friends who live ther.  I was supposed to go to see them earlier last week, but they told me to stay here and not go.

“I wanted to support them and be by their side, but they ended up coming here. The situation in Brussels, Paris and all over the world is terrible and I hope things calm down in the coming weeks.”
