After thirteen games this season, the general consensus is that West Ham are lucky to have suffered so few injuries compared with several Championship competitors, notably Cardiff City who will likely suffer eight absences against the Irons on Wednesday night.
After the loss against West Brom, the Irons have just one serious new injury which has resulted in one player being sent for a scan.

Walker Peters: West Ham awaiting scan results
Already waiting on the recovery of Dinos Mavropanos who is still recovering from the injury sustained against Southampton, the Irons’ boss now has to sweat on a scan outcome on Kyle Walker Peters who limped off with what seemed like a thigh injury during the second half against the Baggies.
Fortunately Walker Peters’ replacement, Joel Veltman, returned from injury in time to take over the right back duties as Walker Peters was forced off.
Whether the 34 year Veltman old remains able to play two games in four days in back-to-back starts against Cardiff and Blackburn remains to be seen, presenting Nuno with another conundrum for his back line, depending on the scan outcome.
Other than that, Keiber Lamadrid was the only player considered still ‘doubtful’ in Nuno’s pre-match press conference last week, so it will be key to see the manager’s comments regarding his squad ahead of the next vital two games and, in particular, whether there were any additional knocks suffered last weekend which might further deplete his squad.
