Mark Lawrenson can’t quite bring himself to to tip the Hammers for a win at Leicester but he doesn’t believe the Foxes are going to have an easy ride.
Like most, the BBC pundit we all love to hate was impressed with the manner in which we saw off Wolves last weekend and is calling tomorrow’s game to have a closer finish than many might have believed.
After a fine performance at Arsenal and last week’s win the Hammers may just have a shout of victory but Lawro won’t quite go that far against a team that has won three from three.
But he admits the Irons certainly deserved their win against Wolves – their first since the midlanders returned to the Premier League as we scored our first goals against them in that time.
Lawrenson declares in his website column that is was an impressive result and that we deserved it because we played extremely well.
He added: “They won’t be afraid of the Foxes because they will sit in and deny them space to run into. That sounds ridiculous coming off a 4-0 scoreline but that is the format that might give them success too.
“I just fancy Leicester to take this one though. Jamie Vardy is in great form and will be full of confidence after his hat-trick against Manchester City, I don’t see the Hammers keeping him out.”
