Leroy gives his verdict on Swans v Irons

|

leroylogoOk, we have a massive injury list and the Andy Carroll news is a blow but I still think we have enough to beat a very out of sorts Swansea City at the Liberty today.

With two clean sheets behind us there’s encouragement to believe we will stop leaking those early goals and I am hopeful that Enner Valencia will come to the party alongside an in-form Mauro Zarate.

Michail Antonio had a great debut an has more to offer. With Alex Song coming back to real fitness  we can win this one.

Swansea did well against Man City last weekend but haven’t won since August and are now in the bottom three. That will weigh heavy on them.

And the way they play, liking to hold possession and come at teams will suit us right down to the ground – it’s the way we have managed to beat three top teams this season on the counter attack.

The pressure may be on Swansea – given their fall into the bottom three – but so long as we don’t concede early – and after the recent clean sheets I don’t see that happening – we will win I reckon.

I’m going for a 2-1 with the goals coming from Valencia and Kouyate from a set piece and should we get the victory I think we will go on to take nine points this Christmas.

Swans 1 Irons 2
