West Ham’s under 21’s have been weakened in recent seasons as of course the seniors graduate and move on: Callum Marshall, Freddie Potts and George Earthy have all left the club after their own West Ham careers stalled. Next up, it seems young striker Josh Landers is set to position himself as the one to watch after a stunning performance this afternoon.
Right on cue, the Hammers teenage Scottish striker fired in four goals in front of West Ham’s own Sporting Director Mark Noble, in attendance at the Chelsea v West Ham u21’s game as reported by Roshane Thomas of the NY Times:

Teenager Landers went on to complete his first-half hat trick – and four goal haul in total – but the Hammers u21’s lost out in a crazy 5-4 defeat: Landers will hope that he’s getting noticed in all the right places and can follow Lewis Orford, Ollie Scarles and Josh Ajala into contention for senior places in the Championship campaign.

Landers scored FOUR
With a striker spot still available in the squad, just one day ahead of deadline day,(unless there are some huge surprises in store tomorrow) the youngster may have fired a reminder to Nuno at just the right time.
I know Noble was pushing for Earthy to be given a chance even under the Spanish geezer and all the managers that followed. Earthy was good enough for Moyes but not for the managers since then. Nobles probably given up with it if you ask me.
I would have put Josh Landers ahead of Ajala personally but Nuno must have seen something else in Ajala to put him ahead of Landers
Landers was prolific in the first half of last season and Nuno then loaned him to Boreham Wood. I think that’s 6 in 2 games now and was on bench for Charlton game. Has played in Scottish Premiership for Hibs and really surprised he never got minutes in any pre season friendlies. Let’s hope Nike reports back to someone who can open Nun’s eyes to his potential..
Almost good news at lady, but then….we still lost!
Last not Lady FFS! 😊⚒️⚒️
Did anyone from here get a chance to talk to Mark and get his views on things at the club fight now
