Mexican star for Hammers?

Some exciting news coming out of Italy for West Ham fans.

It appears that the Mexican star  Hirving Lozano of Napoli could move to the London Stadium this summer.

We have had previous with Lozano before as we tried to sign the 27 year old last summer in a  £25 million deal.

The Italian website Area Napoli has published an interview with Lozano`s ex agent Alessandro Montfrecola.

And he is reported as saying: West Ham’s proposal for Lozano? I believe that if Lozano leaves Napoli he will do so for an English club. The rumours coming from Mexico tell me that there is interest from English clubs. I think Aston Villa or West Ham will be the solution for Lozano.“ 

This lad is good and possesses all of the attributes that we sometimes lack inside the final third.

According to Opta , he has scored 30 goals and 17 assists in 155 games in his time at Napoli often playing out of position but during his time with PSV Eindhoven. But when he was at PSV , playing in his preferred position, the winger racked up 40 goals and 23 assists in 79 appearances for the Eredivisie outfit

The Tribuna website  quoted the Mexico manager Juan Carlos Osorio labelling Lozano as ‘unbelievable’,

He said: “Since he moved to PSV Eindhoven, I think he has made the next step up. He’s an unbelievable prospect. His pace, his ability to take people on makes me believe that he is a player that will go very far, hopefully, he can show that in the next game.

I just think that whoever takes a chance on him will do well. His pace and again his ability to take people on, he can play in any league and any place. I think he will be able to – and he has the tools to play – in the Premier League.”
