West Ham believe they have lost the bid to get Kevin Mirallas out of Everton.
The Hammers have made two bids for the Belgian winger/striker and both have been turned down flat by Toffees owner Bill Kenwright.
And reports emerged in the national press this morning that the merseyide outfit want to offer the player a new contract amid rumours that he remains unsettled at the club.
However, that won’t help the Irons as despite their bid reaching £7.5 million, Everton have a year’s option in their favour on the player at the end of his contract next year.
A Hammers source said: “We have kept going but it’s beginning to look less and less likely. There’s always a chance but it’s down to about 25 per cent.
“We have no first hand knowledge of whether a new deal has been offered to the player but we have had no encouragement from Everton on this one at all.”
I see Berahino is attracting interest from Spurs for around 15 mill same price as Austin and surely a better player?
Blimey,Miralles is 100% better than Jarvis. You have been trying to bin Jarvis off to Qpr with Nolan & dough Bubs.Miralles is a Belgium international. We got absolutely mugged paying what we did for Jarvis 😉
Agreed Si, Jarvis was comprehensively overpriced and has essentially only ever been a squad player at best which is not going to change this year. However, I love Bubs’ comment about Mirallas – “he is not a world beater, why are we bothering with him….”
It seems that Messi is staying put for another year or so, but Ronaldo is rumoured to be contemplating a move…
He is not a world beater why are we bothering with him,Jarvis could be as good with a bit of self belief, buy the young Lad from Barca and get Song sorted and with Cullen and the young Viking we do not need any more midfielders,
Spend the money on a forward
kevin davies wants to squeeze another season out of his golden boots, could be a short ter……..hahaha sorry can’t finish that.
Oh well,move on then.Next option i guess.
