Moyes admits to his Benrahma through middle thoughts

|

Benrahma waits anxiously for his debut

Said Benrahma could find himself launched down the middle this evening at Elland Road.

David Moyes  admitted there is a possibility it could happen and that he has considered the role for his loan signing.

Seb Haller has been struggling in a big way and the former Brentford star may push him for the centre forward role.

As is his way the manager refused to give much and only admitted to a “probably” when saying Mikey Antonio would be unavailable.

And wheether he had though of using Benrahma in a central role he said: “It is something I’ve considered because I need to look for options as well, I need to look for alternatives for when we need them.

It is something I’ve considered, yes. I’ve looked at other people who could do it, maybe Jarrod Bowen because at the moment we’re certainly short in that area.

Said is coming on, he is getting better and showing a little bit more. We want him to get used to it. We don’t want to put him in and then find that we’re having to pull him out because he’s not at the level.

I think he is getting much more used to it and his introduction, the way it has come around in some of the games, it’s been good for him because he was starting to get used to the levels of the Premier League and the players he’ll be up against.”
