With the exception of Michail Antonio we are today seeing an entirely David Moyes built West Ham United squad.

With no Fabianski, Oggy or Cresswell likely to feature either today or often in the future and with Rice gone of course we really are now into Moyes territory.

This occurred to me after reading that his Everton team went on to qualify for the Champions League after losing Rooney.

So we genuinely are at the start of a new era and one which will show us precisely how good a good  David Moyes is both in the market and on the pitch.

He has received much criticism but is now in an area where he can be very fairly judged. Ok, there have been some poor buys but I believe this summer they can be forgotten.

From what we have seen so far we can forgive them with the arrival of some of the best arrivals we have seen in a long time.

So come on Moyesie…this is your moment to do a post-Rooney Everton for the Hammers
