Moyes tracks ‘Brazilian’ Zlatan

According to reports, West Ham are showing serious interest in Flamengo striker Pedro, and are planning a summer bid. The Hammers have been keeping an eye on the 25-year-old for a while and have recently set-up extended scouting in Brazil overseen by Rob Newman.

Apparently David Moyes is a big admirer of the player, and wants to bring him back to Europe next season. The Irons boss is thought to be very keen on signing a striker following the collapse of the Terem Moffi transfer. He has identified the former Serie A forward Pedro as an important transfer target.

Pedro came through the academy at Brazilian club Fluminense before signing for Fiorentina in 2019. However, following a patchy six months with the Serie A club, he was sent back to Brazil on loan. He joined Flamengo on a permanent transfer in the January transfer window of 2021.

Ever since his return home, the 25-year-old has regained his form. He has been sensational on the pitch and is thought to be keen on a second stint in Europe. So far this season, Pedro has played in 7 matches and remarkably scored on nine occasions.
