Noble holds some injury hope

Captain Mark Noble has been ruled out of tomorrow’s game at Arsenal by most Hammers watchers.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini explained that he had an issue with his back which prompted most of us to exclude him from team selection for the game at the Emirates.

But the man himself has indicated that may not necessarily be the case writing in his new London Evening Standard column usually occupied by the manager.

This year, however, Manuel Pellegrini has chosen not to follow Sam Allardyce, Slaven Bilic and David Moyes and Noble has taken over.

And he explained: “I’ve had a back problem this week and we will continue to assess it. It’s something I played with last season.”

As is always the case he will be given time to recover and presumably face a late fitness test but such has been the manager’s emphasis of Jack Wilshere over the last 24 hours that it remains unlikely the captain will start.

We won’t be able to afford passengers against Arsenal, my perfect team would be Adrian Cresswell Ogbonna, Balbuena Zaba, Anderson, Wilshere, Sanchez, Yarmo, Perez, Arnie.

I think you’ve named a few passengers in there mate. I can’t quite understand fredericks being dropped last week? Where’s Antonio? Rice? Hopefully they are back in the squad. I hope Nobes recovers from his back injury, comes on and scores the winner, and in doing so shuts a minority of our fans up. I’d love that to happen.
