obiang1Pedro Obiang has insisted the squad “must keep the right mentaity over the international break” and he s entirely aware of that a visit to Spurs means to the fans.

Speaking to the official site he said: “We were disappointed that we could not get the victory against Stoke but we have to keep the right mentality over the international break and prepare well for the Tottenham game.

“This is another big derby for us and we want to come away with the victory. We know what this game means for the fans and we will be doing everything to get the three points.

“We had some big away wins last season against the big teams. It is more important for us this time around to do something similar as we are going through a difficult period, but we will have a big determination get the points.”

Obiang is also hoping for a Spanish victory when his national team line up against England in a friendly on Tuesday night.

But the former Spanish U21 midfielder is hoping Aaron Cresswell make his first international appearance saying: “I will be staying with the family and watching the game but I wish the best of luck to Aaron.

“We are very happy for him and when I first joined West Ham I could see he was a very good left back and has progressed even more.

“He has now moved into the national team and it is very good for him and everyone connected with the Club.”
