“Only 74 Days Left” West Ham Exclusive as Paco’s Contract Revealed

West Ham assistant manager Paco Jémez short term contract with the club is set to expire in 74 days, and it is not known whether it will be extended or not.

Paco has been largely credited with the West Ham turnaround since he joined in mid-January on a six-month deal, which has given the club a good chance of survival.

Whether Paco stays or leaves is partially related to which division we are in next season, but also whether Nuno Espírito Santo remains in charge of West Ham next season.

When Claret and Hugh asked a senior club source  about Paco’s contract situation this morning, we were exclusively told, “It’s the manager’s call whether to extend Paco’s contract”

In one alternative scenario, we could see Pacos Jemez offered the full-time West Ham manager’s role if the Hammers are relegated and Nuno walks away, but that is purely speculation on our part.

  • Phil Baker says:

Westham’s improved form and defensive solidity certainly coincided with Paco’s arrival and so if Westham stay up all efforts should be made to retain him .

  • Peter whu says:

He has worked with Enrique and Guardiola apparently. Likes attacking football and given all the comments from players about him, he has helped make changes to improve the team 10 fold.

So lucky he was available to come to WHU in Jan. Seems to be an exceptional coach, player coach and character too. NES and him seem to be a good pairing, something a bit unique in the PL. If team stay in PL I would like to see what they could do together at WHU.

  • Sue says:

Nuno has been much better with him
We must retain them both especially if we manage to stay up

  • AM says:

  • Adrian Herbert says:
