This should not need saying again but sadly it is: Kalvin Phillips is not joining West Ham and Tomas Soucek is here for another three and a half years. Sadly, Footballer Insider never fails to amaze with the same – and I mean SAME – nonsense they churn out over and over again. Once again they are saying this morning that the Hammers are back on the trail of Phillips with Tomas set to leave us at the end of the season. Once again it bears repeating that neither claim is true although that won’t surprise many.

We will repeat the reality of the situation. West Ham have no funds and even the sale of fringe players, which the club hopes comes together, wouldn’t buy Phillips even if they wanted him which they don’t. They want a striker which is patently obvious to anybody who actually knows what is going on at West Ham right now.
How on earth anyone can still believe that Soucek will be leaving West Ham this summer after it has been repeatedly stated here and by the club that he has signed a new four year deal is utterly beyond anyone who seriously follows this football club. There are many excellent websites bringing you the latest and truest news and we are certainly among them. We repeat Soucek is staying and Phillips is not joining. Football Insider is wrong again!
