Positive news on Lingard

West Ham star turn Jesse Lingard will be fit for the game against Chelsea at the weekend.

There had been some doubts over the Manchester United loanee after he hobbled off the pitch at St James’ Park last weekend with some fans believing he had sustained a hamstring injury.

And those doubts have persisted despite manager David Moyes claiming that he had only suffered cramp.

The manager – who is entirely secretive over his team selections – has previous on throwing up  smoke screens over players’ fitness.

He did so over Mikey Antonio despite it becoming well known that he had torn a hamstring.

And last weekend he again refused to confirm or otherwise the situation over Aaron Cresswell when it became known he had pulled a hamstring.

However, ClaretandHugh understand that Lingard had indeed merely suffered a cramping problem as he left the pitch towards the end of the game at Newcastle.
