Hammers United have encouraged protesters to continue their campaign at the Emirates Stadium this Saturday when West Ham take on Arsenal.
Anfield saw the release of Black balloons and display of anti board banners as the teams came out as West Ham faced league leaders Liverpool.
The protest was covered live by Sky Sports and received global media attention.
Encouraged by the response, Hammers United have extended the protests to away games saying “Get your black balloons ordered if you DO love playing away..ee you all at Arsenal on Saturday. Keep up the pressure and the momentum.”
The supporters’ group who have over 12,000 members are planning their next home match protest with details to follow.
They are thought to be targeting the West Ham v Wolves match on Sunday 15th March outside the London Stadium.
Earlier this week they thousands of protesters joined in with their Greenway Stroll prior to the West Ham v Southampton game.
Said it perfectly hammero BSG OUT and still supporting our team brilliant away support. Oh answering the many that gave up season tickets after moving from Boleyn ground it’s understood why by those that see your opinion and that’s myself too, destroying the fabric of decades and telling lies why they are doing it is the reason that this board are so unpopular. If they had invested properly from day one then they wouldn’t have been in this position which meant bringing in proper football knowledge in this business which they are clueless about. Great businessmen and woman at porn or lingerie but football nah.
You’re not supporting you’re team by protesting during a relegation battle it’s as simple as that. You’re just creating negativity around the club and among the fans and media at the exact time when we don’t need it the most.
Wow hard to believe there were 8000 of them. Maybe some of those actually attended the games as well instead of marching themselves home again afterwards. Now how many balloons do you get in a packet? Lets say there’s 1000 of them actually at the Arsenal game and they all blow up ten black balloon each that will be 10,000 black balloons. I’d rather see claret and blue balloons mind from the fans that actually support their team.
Hi Rudy
My lad and me both managed to do both last week.
Why do we want GSB out of our club?
For one – post the blubbing how mean the Fans are to him (Sullivan) as per that bloke from Sky’s report (Sevelo?) earlier this this week – How is it that for example Bournemouth – with their 10,000 capacity stadium have invested net more in their Team over the last four years than our owners have?
Rudy what point are you having difficulty in understanding. That there are thousands of West Ham supporters who can actually protest against 3 people before kick off, but are also able to support 11 others once the match starts. Not that difficult to comprehend. The players know the fans are behind them. GSB know they have thousands of angry fans.
