Darren Randolph has received a boost from co chairman David Gold.
With fans giving the Hammers no 2 keeper some ‘difficult’ attention on the social networking system – notably Twitter of course – Gold has made sure the former Birmingham man gets a message of support.
With Adrian starting his three match ban for the late sending off against Leicester City last weekend, the Republic of Ireland international is taking over from the Spaniard.
And Gold declared in his latest tweet: “Darren Randolph makes his first premier league start for West Ham today against AFC Bournemouth. Good luck Darren. dg”
ClaretandHugh’s chief analyst Leroy Rosenior added: “It’s important every fan gets behind the fella this afternoon. Confidence is absolutely key for a keeper and the back four will probably play even better as is often the case withen a new keeper steps in.”
