Cresswell: A very tough afternoon. Even at his peak he’d have been left for dead by City’s pace in his side, hard to criticise too much today 4
Rice: Had a massive amount to do today; kept his composure well 6
Wilshere: Seemed to find the pace of the game a bit sharp; drew a number of free kicks to break up the play 5
Anderson: A bright start. Hopefully the injury to his right leg isn’t serious 6
Lanzini: Some lovely passing and movement early on, found it hard to play through City as the game wore on 6
Antonio: A pretty typical display before being subbed at the interval 5
Haller: Fans of a big centre-forward rejoice!! Excellent touch, hold up play and lay offs. Not swamped with support from team mates, but a promising debut 7

Fredericks was woeful, he had so many opportunities to cross the ball, couldn’t get it past the first man, also gave the ball away via a throw in that led to a goal,
