Reid return expected as Irons look to make it 17

Reid looks likely to play a part

We may be starved of first team action for the next couple of weeks courtesy of the ‘pigging’ international break but there’s some important Development Squad action going on tomorrow night.

The team’s brilliant run of 16 games without a defeat goes on the line against Cheltenham Town on a trip to the West Country.

Having already beaten Newport County 5-4 in a hugely exciting opening Leasing Trophy clash last month, the lads will be taking on another League Two side looking for a more comfortable game than in Wales.

Winston Reid has been pencilled in for his first competitive match for over a year and could team up with a lad half his age – Jamal Baptiste (15) at central defence.

We can also expect to see the likes of Dan Kemp, Conor Coventry and Nathan Holland taking their chance against a team that is currently sitting fifth in League Two with 22 points just two off the top.

It’s a real test for the lads but such is thei form and confidence don’t be writing them off.
