West Ham are interested in a deal to sign Vincent Aboubakar from Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr, according to a new report in Spain from Fichajes.

The Hammers have been linked with a deal to sign the Cameroon international before, when he was playing for Portuguese club FC Porto.

Aboubakar left Porto to join Besiktas in 2020, and is now with Al Nassr, for whom he has scored six goals in 18 games.

During his time with Porto, the 30-year-old scored 58 goals in 125 games, and went on to score 35 goals in 67 outings for Besiktas.

He was mightily impressive with Cameroon at the African Cup of Nations tournament, winning the Golden Boot after scoring eight goals.

Cameroon were knocked out of the tournament in the semi-finals, losing 3-1 on penalties to Egypt, although they did win the third-place play-off, beating Burkina Faso on penalties; Aboubakar scored a brace in that game.

He is said to be seen as a potential back-up option behind Mikey Antonio in the squad.
