Reported West Ham target Fabio Borini has become a free agent but has not made a decision about his future just yet, agent Roberto di Fanti has told Radio Punto Nuovo
The 29-year-old former Chelsea, Liverpool, Swansea City and Sunderland striker could be tempted to return to the Premier League.
Borini’s AC Milan contract expired yesterday and the Italian is now without a club
Calciomercato previously reported that West Ham could look to reunite David Moyes with his former Sunderland frontman
“Borini? His contract is expiring, but he is still very young. He is 29 years old and has experience,” said Di Fanti, Sunderland’s former director of football.
“We are in no hurry to make hasty decisions in the market. As we have always done, we will make the right and thoughtful choice for the career of Fabio.” Di Fanti added.
Borini scored 17 goals in 93 appearances for Sunderland spending the 2016-17 season under the watch of David Moyes.
Borini and Moyes did not have the best of relationships at Sunderland, as the one-time Italy international slammed Moyes for playing him out of position.
Borini only joined Verona in January after he was allowed to leave AC Milan after eleven appearances scoring three goals.
Not been a striker in years been playing full back
The Trotters are shopping at Bargain Basement again, why is it that nearly every other team especially the one’s that barely stayed up are making signings and we as usual are making nothing but the usual excuses. All teams were similarly affected during the pandemic but we are using that excuse more than anyone, been a West Ham fan for 46 years and always will be, but until we change owners we will be trying to avoid relegation every season…
Naahhhh… No way.
I don’t believe Moyes is tempted to bring him under his arms again…
We don’t need a defensive forward (or wherever his supposed spot on the pitch is).
Not this old chestnut again
Very young at 29? Spoken like an agent.
He isn’t good enough.
Don’t need him .
