Must admit when my eyes lighted on a headline which included Gary Neville and West Ham I assumed the worst.
After all with the rest of football thinking and saying one thing on the dreadful Dean decision over Tomas Soucek’s red card, the Sky pundit and former Manchester United man would almost certainly be likely to take the opposite view on the eventual outcome
But life still has a few surprises and even an often times Hammers critic the ex England right back takes the view that Tomas was of course very badly treated by Dean .
Neville, like the rest of football, admits there was nothing like aggressive behaviour in response to Aleksander Mitrovic in the closing minutes of the game against Fulham.
Commenting on his podcast: Neville said: “It just looked to me like he was trying to sort of make some space to clear himself. I think it will be overturned.”
On this occasion he has described the midfielder’s perfectly – that’s precisely what it looks like and it will be a staggering result for the player, club and football as a whole if this decision is not rescinded.
