Leicester City boss Claude Puel is tonight being reported as being ready to drop Jamie Vardy from the game against us tomorrow.
According to Telegraph Sport the Foxes boss, having suffered four defeats in the last six Premier League games, looks ready to try changing his fortunes by leaving Vardy out of his starting XI in a move which the paper claims has angered the England striker.
It says the decision has left the 31-year-old stunned after he took to social media earlier in the day declaring himself fit and ready for action against the Irons.
Vardy had been fully expected to miss the game with stomach problems which apparently started when he came off near the end of the 3-1 defeat by Arsenal
But today on social media he made it clear that he was available for action if selected saying: “Ready for the game tomorrow. Back to full strength.”
However, the Telegraph, recalls Puel’s comments earlier in the week which may have impacted on the decision he seems set to make.
Puel had said:“Jamie has had a difficult start because he came back from the World Cup without a pre-season and without good work with his team-mates. After, he has had a long suspension [after being sent off against Wolves].
