Sevilla chase Hammers star

|

Sevilla have begun the chase for Hammers star Pablo Fornals according to Spanish media reports.

Fornals played for Villarreal, before joining West Ham in 2019, but whether he would be keen on moving back to Spain remains to be seen. Sevilla are understood to have sent scouts to the Premier League game against Bournemouth the assess the player.

Fornals was recruited under the stewardship of Manuel Pellegrini for £23m. The Spaniard settled into life at the London Stadium quickly, and has embraced his time at the club.

The 27 year old midfielder, suffered a dip in form last season, but finished the season with a flourish. He was a key component in West Ham’s successful run-in with some important performances and goals.

Frequently deployed in an unfavourable left wing role during his time with the club, Fornals has represented the Hammers without complaint. David Moyes selected him in a central role during the game against Bournemouth, where he performed admirably.

Given the uncertainty surrounding Lucas Paqueta, it would seem foolish to sell Fornals.
