Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas fears the worst for West Ham this Saturday at the Emirates
The former Arsenal footballer told Sky Sports he predicts a 3-1 loss for the Hammers telling his website readers:
“West Ham had a wonderful result last week and I’m pleased for David Moyes. There’s been slow improvement for Arsenal under Mikel Arteta and I like his authority.
I’m excited about the progress of the youngsters, and for the first time in a while I feel there’s a genuine hope for those coming through. Bukayo Saka, Reiss Nelson, Joe Willock, Gabriel Martinelli and Eddie Nketiah all have really strong Arsenal futures.
West Ham will be a handful and Michail Antonio seems the best solution for them at present with his pace and power, but I still feel there’s a vulnerability about their defence. I think it’s going to be a busy day for Lukasz Fabianski back at his old club.”
The Hammers will be full of confidence after the 3-1 win over Southampton with David Moyes likely to name an unchanged team if everyone is fit and free from injury at the weekend. He will hopefully keep the same 4-4-2 formation that was so effective against the Saints at the London Stadium last Saturday. West Ham will be hoping for more than a loss and there could be a real possibility that the Hammers will take all three points to give their Premier League survival a real chance. I will predict a one-nil win at the Emirates which bookmakers give odds of 20/1 for that correct score.
Sean – you know it’s was probably worth mentioning that Charlie Nicholas was a former Arsenal player – your younger readers might not know that, or perhaps you didn’t either – although I’m not suggesting for a minute that you’re young hahaha
Of course I know that, I not that young 😉
Agree Masuaku coming on as sub lost us the game last time. Need to nullify Arsenal’s pace up front!
We should have beat them at London stadium and like Brighton we folded due to bad subs and Moyes making the wrong choice. This time we can grab all three with Bowen Antonio and haller . Shame we don’t have sou back but will still take them on imo
Souček apparently might make the team COYI
While Moyes might not be everybody’s favourite manager I think that it is not fair to blame him for bringing on Masuaku against Arsenal as Pelle was still the manager for that game 😉
Charlie Nicholas former Arsenal totally biased toward Arsenal pundit says Arsenal will win. Whoopdy doo.
