Sky Sports in Diop mix up

West Ham co-chairman David Gold once famously managed to get himself into a bit of a social media mix-up after accidentally tweeting a picture of the wrong player when announcing the signing of the then new West Ham Spanish midfielder Pedro Obiang.  David Gold welcomed Obiang to the club on Twitter, but instead used a snap of the Italian international defender Angelo Ogbonna, before later deleting it.

It appears Sky Sports suffer from the same problem as Gold and made the same faux pas displaying  a graphic of West Ham player Edimilson Fernandes with the incorrect label of Issa Diop underneath while attempting to show the back four that played  against Southampton at the weekend.

A West Ham fan calling themselves @PugBubble took to social media to point put Sky’s mistake but as yet the Sports broadcaster is yet to apologise for getting the two West Ham players mixed up.
