Whilst the English leagues are now closed for transfer business until January, several countries still conduct player transactions after the 2nd September Premier League and  Championship deadlines, fuelling speculation that fringe or unwanted players could still leave West Ham in September.

However, Edson Alvarez and Soungoutou Magassa will not be sold or loaned out in the remaining transfer markets still open, Claret and Hugh learned last night.

Transfer windows remaining open include Greece, Portugal and the Saudi Pro League, but a transfer source claims neither will depart till at least January 2027.

Switzerland, Bulgaria, Czech Republic windows all close on Tuesday; Poland’s window shuts on Wednesday, Azerbaijan on Thursday, Mexico on Friday, Slovakia on Sunday, Greece next Tuesday, Israel next Wednesday, and Serbia and Portugal next Friday with the Saudi Pro League open until October 12.

The transfer source said, “Neither will go to those other leagues, and Saudi have pulled right back on money”

Nuno is said to rate Edson Alvarez and could bring him back into the fold; he previously claimed an injury which prevented him from being selected from the matchday squad.

Magassa is said to be recovering from an injury and could also fight his way into the matchday squad. The youngster is said to be contrite and has reportedly apologised to both the Manager and team mates for his ‘want-away’ summer stance.

Funny whenever there’s controversy over a player they’ve got some kind of injury that mysteriously materialises.
Hope Nuno can find a way of utilising both of them even it’s the cup game.

Alvarez vs Millwall = 100% Red Card

Portugese window is open until 15th too, both could do a job there.

well i suppose Magassa can be contrite as he likes Sean until the next transfer window opens and then we’ll start all over again , at least then the Club will hopefully not have the same enormous amount of incoming and outgoing business that they did in this window and will be able to focus on just 2 or 3 bits of dealing x

Other than Saudi none of the leagues with windows still open have any money. The next window is 115 days away. Come that window someone will have injuries, or struggling enough (perhaps in the PL) to think that Alvarez might be an answer. The only problem then will be deciding who, of the many volunteers, gets to drive him to his new home.
