Hammers predicted to stay up !

West Ham United will still be in the Premier League next season, according to the men with the big shiny computer.

The latest set of Opta predictions have tipped the Hammers to finish six points above the drop, with Southampton, Nottingham Forest and Leicester City all doomed to the Championship.

We do have a game in hand on the rest of the teams fighting relegation – not that is going to do us any good, as it is away at Manchester City – and we find ourselves three points above Forest with nine games remaining.

And according to all the data, we now have a 7% chance of being relegated with Crystal Palace’s chance now at 3% after beating Leeds United 5-1 on Sunday.

Bottom of the table Saints have an 82% chance of being relegated, Forest, who are 18th, have been handed a probability score of 77% to return to the Championship at the first time of asking and the former League Champions Leicester have a 50% chance of being relegated.

Everton, 43%, and Bournemouth,19%, will stay up, and Leeds chance of being relegated is now at 10% despite their thumping at Palace
