Steidten will make January move for defender Sanusi

West Ham are reportedly interested in acquiring Porto defender Zaidu Sanusi. The 26-year-old has become a key player for the Portuguese club and Hammers scouts are believed to have watched the player closely.

Portuguese media claim we are preparing a bid for Sanusi, with the club’s technical director, Tim Steidten, being a long-term admirer. Sanusi possesses strength and skills that make him well-suited for the Premier League.

The question remains whether West Ham can entice Porto with a tempting enough offer. While Aaron Cresswell’s departure from West Ham seems imminent, it’s uncertain whether he will leave on a free transfer at the end of the season or for a nominal fee in January.

It’s also worth noting that right back is currently a more pressing position. Emerson is also in fine form at left back so there is no guarantee Sanusi would break into the team.

The 26 year old Nigerian was heavily linked with a move to Brighton last season.
