Survey unimpressed with new Hammers

|

A new survey of West Ham United’s summer signing appears to confrm the view of most fans – they really weren’t great.

The Daily Mail has  given a view on the club’s summer activity and is norably underwhelmed by our new arrivals although it comes up with what will be one surprise in the case of Simone Zaza.

Here’s how they are all rated.

Sofiane Feghouli – 5.5/10

Yet to make a start since joining from Valencia in the summer, the Algerian has struggled to impress Slaven Bilic.

Havard Nordtveit – 5/10

The Norwegian midfielder began well but has not started a game for the Hammers since a 3-0 defeat against Southampton in September.

Ashley Fletcher – 5/10

A bit-part player so far under Bilic, the 21-year-old striker has started just one Premier League game.

Andre Ayew – 4/10

A thigh injury sustained on the opening day of the season kept the Hammers’ record signing out for nearly two months and he has only recently returned.

Simone Zaza – 6/10

The Italian international works hard and moves well off the ball, but has yet to sparkle in front of goal. Remains to be seen whether Bilic will trust him from 12 yards.

Simone Zaza has been tireless up front but has yet to find the back of the net for West Ham

The French defender has not featured in the Premier League since a disastrous performance in the 4-2 defeat by West Brom in September.

Edimilson Fernandes – 6/10

The Swiss midfielder has been gradually more involved in the first-team as the season has wore on, and scored in the EFL Cup victory over Chelsea.

Alvaro Arbeloa – 4/10

The former Real Madrid defender has featured just twice in the Premier League and the 33-year-old has struggled to impress.

Gokhan Tore – 4/10

The on-loan winger from Besiktas started well, assisting Michail Antonio for the winner against Bournemouth in August but has been kept out by injury for over a month.

Jonathan Calleri – 4/10

Signed on loan from Deportivo Maldonado, the Argentine is still biding his time having failed to start in the Premier League yet for West Ham.
