Sympathy for Benny as the lads return to Rush Green

SO!

All things being equal the lads are back in town today and ready to prepare for that very important game at Villa Park!

Possibly the most chastened will be a certain Said Benrahma who felt the full heat of his national manager who became pretty angry that the player was upset!

In reality, having had time to think about it, let’s be fair to the lad. He may have been doing no more than demonstrating his disappointment in his performance. Most of us who have played the game have been there.

Having said all that he probably faces more on Sunday disappointment on Sunday as it is impossible to see him anywhere but on the bench which is probably the same fate as Mo Kudus is likely to suffer.

Edson Alvarez looks pretty well certain to be involved along with Paqueta. JWP, and Soucek as we look to hit the top six again.

And no doubt Jarrod will be relieved to be back in a team which knows how to play to him rather than an England team which seemed clueless on that front.

Most of all however, let’s all breathe a sigh of relief that another awful international break is over and we can get back to football we can actually get excited about.
