The Irons rumour factory

|

In line with our policy of reporting all things Hammers we will bringing you rumours from here, there and everywhere as and when they arise with the winter window approaching under the above headline.

This should allow you to discover any outlets that can be trusted and those which simply have an eye on the silly season and creating their own stories.

However, it’s always important to remember when reading  the club had scouts at a match that in reality they send numerous scouts here, there and everywhere every week of the season.

That in itself  does not of course mean they are anywhere close to signing the player or that negotiations are happening – as is the case with the other clubs who are claimed to be scouting a player.

We have already reported the Hammers are very unlikely to be making any signings in this window but we’ll keep an eye on the rumours for you regardless.

Here’s the latest of them:

According to reports from Portuguese media outlet A BolaWest Ham representatives have watched Portimonense star Shoya Nakajima in action on Friday evening.

The 24-year-old winger joined the Portuguese side in the summer transfer window from FC Tokyo, and has made a strong impression already.

He has scored five goals for his new club, and has been watched by the likes of Manchester United, Napoli and Borussia Dortmund.

The publication claim that West Ham had a representative at Estadio Municipal on Friday where the winger played his part in helping his side win 3-1 against Vitoria Setubal.
