The Message From West Ham To Manchester United Is Crystal Clear

If there’s one thing West Ham fans have learned over the years, it’s that transfer windows aren’t just about transfers; they’re about drama.

And this summer, the drama is coming thick and fast regarding both Mateus Fernandes and Crysencio Summerville and Manchester United’s purported interest. Yet despite all the noise, not a single concrete bid has actually been lodged for either player, and inside West Ham the mood is turning from nonchalant to apathetic.

West Ham Have Made Their Position Clear

Let’s get one thing straight: West Ham have been crystal clear about the valuations. Mateus Fernandes around £80–85 million, Crysencio Summerville around £50 million, and that’s if they want to sell at all.

These aren’t surprise numbers. These aren’t hidden fees. These aren’t “contact us for details”. These are the prices. Out in the open. Public. Known. It’s like going to a restaurant, reading the menu, telling the waiter you’re “very interested in the steak”, and then walking out because you hoped it would magically cost half as much.

Long-Term Deals Leave The Hammers In Control

Both Fernandes and Summerville are tied down to long-term deals. That means West Ham don’t have to sell, and they certainly won’t sell because someone in Manchester is “thinking about maybe possibly considering a potential bid”.

If anything, the club’s stance is hardening, as Gonzo alluded to in an article earlier this week. The more the leaks continue without action, the more West Ham feel justified in sticking to their valuations.

Pay The Price Or Move On

The feeling around the club is simple. If you want them, pay the asking price. If you don’t, stop using West Ham’s name to negotiate with someone else.

The Hammers have been clear, consistent and patient. This isn’t a charity shop. This isn’t a clearance sale.

Under Křetínský’s direction, Fernandes and Summerville remain part of the squad, and following internal communication confirming the club’s desire to keep them, any external speculation is simply noise.
