The thoughts of Pellegrini (without comment)

|

This is one of those times when there really is little point – were I to be interested enough – in composing a story from Manuel Pellegrini’s quotes during his press conference.

Instead, today we will simply list his quotes which will allow you to make up your own minds whether they mean anything or whether we just move on!!

“Jack Wilshere continues with some pain.”

“Well of course all of us know we need the results. We have just five points from the last nine games. We need to return to being a consistent and solid team in the way we did against Chelsea and for 60-65 minutes against Arsenal. The points that we have are not enough for this team.”

“I think that lots of teams in this league have had bad runs. Good team with good players as all the other teams in the Premier League, and you must be very concentrated in defending and try to score as well. They have good players and it will be a tough game.” (Southampton)

“It is football and two or three balls can decide the score, especially in the Premier League. There’s a lot of reasons why the score in a game can change from one minute to another. The important thing is that you demonstrate that you can play well for a lot of minutes without conceding too many chances.”

“I always think as a manager that the results of the team depends on the individual performance of a player. After that you can work on tactical, physical and technical work but the performance of the players decide the games. We must try to work with the players and give them confidence.”

“We know a couple of wins can raise our team up the table. We are always talking in the way we must try to do it and not to change all that we are doing.”

Zzzzzzz!

Should these pressers not begin with the words once upon a time?
    Most fairytales usually do!

Wilshere wasn’t in so much pain that he couldn’t drive his Range Rover to the match on Monday night. Hopefully, he’ll go the same way as Pellegrini is heading. Only at West Ham………

If you had to ask anyone three years ago what player we really need it would have been a box to box midfielder who has some pace, come on surely any manager can see that? Really baffling the players we have brought in, not trying to be unfair but a few are past their prime years now. We as a team need to decide on what is our ethos, what are our aspirations? We then need to bring in a manager who is on the same page and he can work on getting the correct players in. This may take a few years but time needs to be given, the problem as far as I can see over the last few years is that as fans we dont know where our team is heading as there is no realistic goals being set, think like a big team just dont cut it.

Non sensible hogwash. The trouble is maybe the speaker believes this. He has been speaking like this for weeks now. It clearly shows a deluded mind. Can the aliens who kidnapped the original manager, who coached Man City, please return him. We cannot handle this imposter any more.
