Top performance but who was top man? Ratings revisited

|
CandH Facebook group stalwart Sergey Novysh hands out his ratings for the lads
Fabianski: Could’ve been quite a different result without Fab’s heroics today. Produced few world-class saves and kept a clean sheet. Best keeper we’ve had for a while. 9
Zabaleta: Another steady performance from a veteran. Hope he stays for another season. A true professional! 7
Diop: I’ve been a huge fan of Reid-Tomkins partnership at the center of our defense at a time, but have to admit – Diop-Balbuena look even better. 8
Balbuena: General just keeps on giving. Another great performance! 8
Masuaku: Lively in attack, no silly mistakes at the back. Good one, Arthur! 7
Snodgrass: Scored a beauty again. It was all about controlling the game in the second half, but he did his part of the job very well. 8
Rice: Just give him salary he wants. This guy is a real deal. 8
Noble: I am a big fan of Mark and his attitude. But he has to stop making those stupid unnecessary challenges. It was a yellow today, but could’ve been red. With a 2-0 lead and 50+ mins to go. 5
Antonio: Tried hard, scored a great goal. And that’s what matter at the end of the day. 8
Hernandez: No goals today, but that little flick counts as an assist I suppose. 7
Anderson: MOTM. Created two goals, showed some great skills and worked tirelessly (defensively too!) till the very end. A joy to watch! So glad he turned that mess around. 9
SUBS
Obiang : Did nothing wrong. 6
Carroll: No critical impact, no mistakes either. 6
Diang: No rating

Nobes should have had a 6, not a 5. Also hugh, he actually won the ball unlike at Leicester in October, where he clearly didn’t. Ok you can’t really slide tackle so strongly anymore. However I wouldn’t call that stupid yesterday, I would call that a competitive player who wants to win. The Leicester one was different and a red was deserved.
