Travel chaos hits tonight’s game

|

A major road traffic accident on the A13 is causing a huge tailback as fans head for tonight’s Irons v Newcastle match at Upton Park and with the A406 blocked there are major problems ahead of tonight’s game.

And in a second incident the undergroTubeund trains are no longer running into Upton Park after  “an incident” at the tube station. Kick off looks likely to be  delayed at this stage or the match even possibly postponed if solutions aren’t found quickly.

ClaretandHugh was told that the coaches carrying the Newcastle team and those with the fanson board  hadn’t yet arrived at the ground as troubles mounted across the travel network.

A source told us that there were  very few people inside the ground at 6.45 pm and that problems were mounting on the toads and within the rail network.problems.

And he added that it looked quite possible that kick off time would be put back as the issues rose on access to the ground.

He said: “We just hope the game doesn’t have to be postponed.”

It took me 4 and a half hours from leaving work in Mansfield to get into the ground last night. Took my seat at 7:40pm, left at 3:00pm. Absolute carnage on the A406.

Thousands around the ground and tube was stopping at Plaistow and East Ham!
Never in a month of Sunday’s will they abandon this match for the reasons he has given….there would be riots!!!
