West Ham 1-1 Tottenham

Areola:6 Comfortable save on 51 mins but had very little to do.

Todibo:7 Always trying to link well with Wan Bissaka. Once piece of defending against Tel was first class as Todibo used a sublime first touch to cushion a high ball and instantly gain control.

Kilman:5 Horrific defending handed Tottenham the lead after 14 minutes after the Irons had looked much the better team. Kilman had two chances to clear and he failed both times. Very poor and an easy goal for Odobert. Reacted well and didn’t do too much wrong otherwise but his error was a whopper.

Cresswell:6 Back in the team on the left side of a back three and provided his usual composed possession.

Wan Bissaka:8 Excellent early run forward wasn’t matched by his poor cross. Another good run ended with a good cross which almost yielded a penalty for handball. Given acres of space and got his assist for Bowen to make the game 1-1.

West Ham 1-1 Tottenham: Wan Bissaka got into several advanced positions

Soucek:6 On his own in central midfield at times but it didn’t seem to matter as West Ham pushed Spurs back early on. Huge effort throughout and fully committed.

Paqueta:7 Put his fair share of robust tackles in. At the heart of most of the teams good work and remains in very good form. One sloppy pass almost undid all his good work and did his usual of pretending to be injured rather than track back. Whilst maybe not his best game, when Paqueta was subbed off, West Ham’s creativity from open play stopped.

Emerson:6 Not massively involved as the Hammers and Spurs spent most of the time on the opposite flank. One good dribble in the second half resulted in an overhit cross.

Bowen:7 Hardly involved until he collected Wan Bissaka’s pass on 28 mins and slotted the ball calmly between the keepers Vicario’s legs. Forced a world class save from the keeper on 81 mins.

Kudus:6 Good intent but his radar was off early in the game as the Hammers started brightly. Nice switch of play helped create the Hammers equaliser. Excellent run and cross created a half chance for Fullkrug.

Fullkrug:5 As with Michail Antonio, West Ham look a much better team when Fullkrug plays. That said, there wasn’t an awful lot individually from the big German.

Substitutes:

Fullkrug didn’t have his best game

Ferguson:6 Part of a four man substitution by Graham Potter on 78 mins relacing Fullkrug. Did make a very good pass to Wan Bissaka on the wing.

Soler:5 Swapped for Paqueta

Coufal:5 On for Todibo

Ward Prowse:6 Replaced Soucek. Freekick created a chance for Bowen.

Mavropanos:5 87th min change for Cresswell who was limping.

How different would the scores have been if Vicario hadn’t pulled off a top-class save from Bowens header, and West Ham had won the game?

Emerson was invisible, 6 is generous
Kilman, apart from the incident, had a solid game.

Referee was terrible, didn’t allow the game to flow at all, gave decisions to Spurs that were incorrect (Subjective), ironic cheers when he did give a free kick to West Ham.

5 for Füllkrug was harsh. He battled as hard as big Tomas, but his ball control and passing were considerably better. He’ll only get more involved when he gets better service in the area.
Also Paquetá deserves a mention for the number of headed clearances he made today from our area.

Beyond me why Potter would bring on two returning loanees rather than Guilherme. Very poor game, usual lack of ambition subs

yeah, I’d like to see Guilherme perhaps even starting instead of Kudus (as he wants to leave) and Scarles getting minutes as well, as Emerson also leaving from what we read.

Just good to see the team put in a decent performance, a bit shaky and everything of course. Nice to see an attacking line up too and just have to let Fullkrug get used to PL,
but Davies is an annoying so-and-so! Cresswell, AWB, 👍

Much higher % possession, which is where all the work on the training pitch is going, I guess. Means Graham Potter is building something. He’ll need to be given time (someone said 3 seasons) because it is obviously slow progress with him at the helm and you can only expect so much from one window of recruitment. I hope the football will be of better quality one day too, but then we all do, including those on the pitch 😊

2 awful awful teams who played a game that was terrible..how you can go above 5 for any of them apart from bowen and awb is beyond me …….even the commentators said how bad both teams look …..and with squads far better than teams in Top half of the table …but let’s have a nice cup of tea gonzo and talk nice and calmly about it🙄…with respect at least martin has some bollocks and says it how it is now and again ..I think if you rang maybe your contacts at the club and called them.all see you next Tuesday ..the more volatile fans may respect the glass half full disect of the game more that you do……sadly we all can’t be the hsppy go lucky lad next door show

  • MkHammer says:

Why is Ferguson a 6 but Fulkrug is only a 5? Don’t like to question it as I know it’s subjective but I’m bemused by that one..

    • Jack E4 says:

We could almost have built a new stadium with the money they’ve wasted since moving to E20

  • Peter says:

Two terrible teams and a terrible ref. Yet again Kilman was totally at fault . He is absolutely awful. Couldn’t make a good 11 out of all the players on display .

  • John Ayris says:

El Crapico lived up to expectations. What a terrible goal to give away. Thank Christ this season is nearly over.

    • Kenny Irons says:

Can’t the club reform so we can just say goodbye forever to the incompetent oafs who run ( lol !) our football club……..👎

      • Mr Buddy Lurve says:

We don’t need to reform – we just need enough solidarity as a fan base to protest outside the ground at each (not just one) game (peacefully, but with vigour), which will send a message to neutrals who might think it’s a nice day out to stay away. Then don’t go in to watch the game. Empty seats, week after week, sends a message to the chairman.

Hitting him in the pocket is the only thing that will work, because he couldn’t care less about the fans or team – only money and value.

But that won’t happen because it takes patience, perseverance and sacrifice (although not watching is probably a blessing at the moment!) 🙂
