West Ham and Spurs fans clashed on Tottenham High Road, not far from the White Hart Lane football ground before kick off on Saturday evening, two police officers are seen in the Daily Mirror video below running in to try and break up the group using batons.
In the background, others continue to shout and goad one another, before police manage to separate them to a safe distance.
The person who videoed the trouble told the Daily Mirror “We were at the front of the bus going up the High Road when the bus stopped because of the fight. I could see a group of about 20 guys on each side and two police officers. The police presence was massive as always, but this is a long road and the fight broke out about 300m from the ground and obviously the two police officers in the video don’t have control over 40 guys. I don’t know if things had kicked off earlier, or what happened after, but as the bus drove off a massive group of policemen came down the road towards the scene, including a stream of policemen on horses.”
I have a spoken to a few Hammers fans who say it was worst than previous years and a few West Ham fans were ambushed and beaten up by Spurs fans
The video is sketchy but it looks as though the trouble was started as usual by someone throwing something from one group to another, as you say this is standard fare at any derby match especially one with the second best club in North London who have a massive chip on their shoulder at the best of times, I guess seeing as this was just another game to them and unimportant that is why they were all getting hyped up before and after the match ?
Maybe bad timing on my part but we report the news both good and bad.
You are correct that this kind of trouble is nothing new, I didn’t go to the loan yesterday but I have in previous years and there are been this kind of fighting outside the lane at pretty much every game we have gone. Usually it is not reported by the main stream press but this one was on the back of the bus footage.
I guess it shows that the trouble caused by the minority of ALL football fans is still there and it is not just a London Stadium thing.

This is my first post on any West Ham website so hello. I’ve been an avid reader of this site for years mainly because most of the posts are relevant to lifelong fans like me, as are most of comments made by the proper WHU fans, so it begs the question, what has half a dozen retards mincing about Tottenham High Road slapping each other with handbags got to do With West Ham United or even football for that matter? This sort of thing has been going on at London football matches since time immemorial and let’s be honest, this video is simply another game, worthless dig at the real mighty Hammers fans that go to watch their team play football.
So please Sean don’t feed off the anti West Ham, anti London Stadium, drivel the scumbag media churns out when it’s a “Bad news day” this sites better than that as are the true West Ham fans. COYI ⚒⚒⚒
