The Hammers’ head of supporters’ service and Co-Chair of the West Ham Advisory Board will leave the club in January after less than a year at West Ham.

West Ham supporter Catherine Smith became the new head of supporter services after the departure of Jake Heath to Spurs last January.

Cat Smith – leaving after less than one year at West Ham United

Smith was previously the head of supporter engagement at Chelsea, and before that, she was a senior communication manager at the City group and had a marketing role at the Jockey Club. Her career in football clubs started with Leeds United as a part-time hospitality manager in the directors’ box while obtaining her degree at the University of Leeds.
Claret and Hugh understand that Cat will be relocating to Manchester to join Manchester United in a similar role.
It is not known who will replace Smith next year at a time of great supporter unrest after the Fan Advisory Board sent an open letter of no confidence to the West Ham board last August.
