West Ham could bus fans to Wembley

|

wembleyClaret and Hugh understand that West Ham is considering busing Hammers fans into Wembley Stadium on New Year’s Eve as a row with London Underground continues over their availability of trains and drivers for the 90,000 capacity event which conflicts with New Year Celebrations in the capital.

The Irons contingency plans involve laying on coaches from fixed points close to mainline stations should no compromise be reached with Transport for London.

Spurs were due to put tickets up for sale on Wednesday but said they could not due to “circumstances beyond our control”

A Spurs Spokesman told Claret and Hugh “Nothing more for us to add at this stage, we are awaiting developments and will update on our channels once we have anything to report.”

The Premier League say there are currently no plans in place to move the 2.15pm New Year’s Eve, though the fixture is subject to what the Premier League term “remaining logistical challenges”
