While West Ham issued a statement several weeks ago confirming Daniel Kretinsky’s intention to increase his share holding by buying some of Vanessa Golds shares to become the majority shareholder at the club, the official website still shows his holding company 1890 Holdings at 27% and there have been no further updates, though there was a rumoured update expected this week.

While it’s widely expected there will be no issues surrounding this, with no Director of Football confirmed or any news around Nuno’s backroom staff, or any transfers except the signing of Kieber LaMadrid on a permanent deal, and Chelmsford City striker, Jett Murphy, fans have taken up a record 40,000 season tickets for the new season in the Championship despite no real firm action from the club.

Fans are growing impatient, and Nuno has had his hands tied going into preseason training in ten days time unsure of which players will be staying and leaves him limited time to prepare for the new season.
With a World Cup on, and many players away on international duty, the summer transfer window really doesn’t begin in earnest until August, yet with big expectations placed on the Portuguese manager to deliver automatic promotion, there is a sense of nervousness creeping in.

I have been a season ticket holder since the late eighties, so experienced the highs and lows of being a West Ham supporter. I previously wrote for OLAS and have contributed to a number of football publications in the past.

A rumour created by West Ham websites, ITK’s and YouTube channels fails to materialise and they create more content to complain about it – what a world we now live in 🙁

By the way, I am not growing impatient and I am not so sure many others are.

Are fans really growing impatient before the transfer window even opens? Sadly Nuno has to deal with the hand he’s dealt himself with relegation and with the club not needing to sell players off on the cheap, he’s going to have to deal with a long, drawn out transfer window. BUT he has a large squad to work with and pre-season is a case of getting them up to speed and he has no real selection or tactical issues to think about until the start of August, over a month away.
