West Ham injury update

|

Winston Reid, Manuel Lanzini, Angelo Ogbonna, Arthur Masuaku and Darren Randolph were all missing from yesterday’s game at the London Stadium.

Reid has been in Japan with New Zealand for the Olympics and is yet to return to Rush Green for his pre-season tests and checks.

Manuel Lanzini suffered a slight knock and wasn’t risked in the Betway cup as a precaution but is expected to be fit for the start of the Premier League.

Angelo Ogbonna who suffered a hamstring injury against Celtic is hopeful of being match fit by next Sunday for Newcastle United away but there is a chance he might need another week to be fully fit.

Jarrod Bowen was on the bench yesterday after he recovered from his small knock that kept him out of the Brentford game but he came on as a second-half substitute yesterday afternoon and looked fit.

Arthur Masuaku continues to work on an individual fitness programme after recovering from a knee operation last season, he has played 45 minutes for the U23’s and he is also expected to be available at or soon after the start of the Premier League season.

On the bench yesterday was David Martin alongside Alphonse Areola, there was no sign of Darren Randolph who is available for sale and he was most likely not risked ahead of a possible departure.
