Castellanos Looks Increasingly Likely To Stay
Claret & Hugh have learned this morning that striker Taty Castellanos is increasingly likely to remain at the London Stadium as West Ham prepare for their Championship promotion campaign.
Like Jarrod Bowen earlier today, Castellanos featured prominently in the launch of the Hammers’ new New Balance home kit, another small indication that the club expect him to be part of their plans for the season ahead.
With that in mind, C&H contacted a well-known football agent this morning to establish whether there had been any movement regarding the Argentine striker’s future.
Speaking exclusively to C&H, our source said:
“West Ham won’t sell him. They’ve had one offer for €15 million and that’s it.”
When asked about reported interest from Serie A giants AC Milan, the response was equally emphatic.
“Milan can’t afford him. They’re in massive financial trouble and have already committed to transfers. They can’t afford him.”
| Player | Taty Castellanos |
| Transfer Fee | £27m |
| Premier League Games | 18 |
| Goals | 6 |
| Assists | 0 |
| Yellow Cards | 6 |
Promotion Ambition Becoming Clearer
If that assessment proves correct, West Ham could head into the new Championship season with both Castellanos and Bowen still leading the attack.
I have little doubt that Taty will be a revelation in the EFL. His energy, movement and fiestyness should make him one of the division’s standout forwards.
Keeping hold of a player who cost around £27 million only six months ago would also send another strong message that the club are serious about making an immediate return to the Premier League.
Where are the prominent Jarrod and Taty bits of the kit launch? When I go to the club website, I only see Magassa and Potts in the photos there as well as some women’s team players.
15m offer!! Taty & Pablo utterly selfish hiked up Nuno & Mendes business when WH were in huge need of 2 proven premiership players!!
